Tortilla Sloppy Joes Recipe

- These fun, kid-friendly sandwiches are loaded with pure flavor! Serve with veggie sticks on the side.
Ingredients
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 1/2 lb lean ground beef
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 2 clove garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup tomato sauce
- 1/2 cup barbecue sauce
- 1/2 bag Tortilla Soup Mix
- 6 burger buns, toasted
- One (14 oz.) package coleslaw mix*
- 2 cup crispy tortilla strips
Directions
- Heat oil in large skillet set over medium-high heat; cook ground beef for 8 to 10 minutes or until starting to brown. Add onion and garlic; cook for 3 to 5 minutes or until vegetables start to soften. Stir in tomato sauce, barbecue sauce, 1 cup water and soup mix. Bring to boil; reduce heat to medium-low. Cook for 10 to 12 minutes or until thickened and flavorful.
- Meanwhile, prepare coleslaw according to package directions. Serve Sloppy Joe mixture on toasted buns with coleslaw and corn chips.
Tips
*For easier preparation, substitute your favorite pre-made coleslaw. Serve with lime wedges and hot sauce if desired.
